MY TURN
by Mr. Muggs
(Translated from American Sign Language)
Recent events have focused the world's attention on a clash of two very different civilizations: the modern, secular democracies of the West; and the fundamentalist Islamic oligarchies of the East.
However, it is possible to reconcile these discordant cultures – through the means of active dialogue, social engagement, and a new approach by the educational systems of each to allow for a better understanding of the other.
This, I believe, will lead to a lasting world peace. Thank you.
